Established in 1927, Wallington County Grammar School (WCGS) stands as a distinguished institution within the London borough of Sutton. With nearly a century’s worth of history, WCGS is a revered establishment, committed to delivering high-calibre education. Despite the changing times, it has stayed true to its initial motto, “Per Ardua Ad Summa”, which translates to “Through Difficulties to the Heights”, an ethos that continues to guide the school’s operations.

Admissions

Each year, Wallington County Grammar School offers 150 places for Year 7.

However, it is no surprise that the school receives well over 2000 applications annually, given its reputation for academic success.

The admissions process involves an 11+ entrance examination, which tests students’ aptitude in Mathematics, English, and Reasoning. Prospective students are encouraged to prepare thoroughly for this competitive examination.
